Your UserID is your first initial, last name and a number (all lowercase).

For example, jdoe2. This is the same as your Blackboard username or the first part of your university e-mail alias without the @unl.edu.

Your password is the same as your Blackboard password:

  • If you have used the Blackboard system and changed your password there, eARFA uses that same password.
  • If not, by default it is your NU ID (ID # =8 digits above the barcode). NOTE: If you were hired prior to NU cards being issued, it is possible that your password is still your SS# (no dashes or spaces).*

  • Windows Users: Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.2 or newer, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or newer, Netscape 8.1
    If you use Lotus Notes and Internet Explorer, please see the Help section.
  • Mac Users: Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.2 or newer. Safari 2.0.3 with limitations, please see the Help section.

*Password

If your password is still your Social Security Number (SS#), we strongly encourage you to change it. Please see the Help menu for instructions.

No one can tell you your password, so if none of the password options listed work, please call the UNL Helpdesk and ask them to reset your Blackboard password. The Helpdesk is open from 7:30am to 11:30pm CT every day of the week. The number is 472-3970 (in Lincoln) or 1-866-472-3970 (toll-free in the US). You can also email them at helpdesk@unl.edu. It can take up to one day for the password change to occur. Normally the password changes are processed overnight.
