Browser Help
Due to Internet security concerns of older browser versions, CIT will only support current versions of these browsers.
- Windows Users: Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.2 or newer, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or newer, Netscape 8.1.
NOTE: In older versions of these browsers you may not be able to enter and/or save text in a text box with the editor. (Download Firefox for Windows)
If you use Lotus Notes and Internet Explorer and have an "incorrect browser setting" in Lotus Notes, you may not be able to enter any text into the text boxes. Please see the note below for instructions on correcting this Lotus Notes setting. - Mac Users: Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.2 or newer. Safari 2.0.3, with limitations.(Download Firefox for Mac OS X)
Safari browser problems: (1) The text editor features do not work. (2) When the user has not filled in all Required fields on a screen and clicks on the Save button, the browser will clear all the text entered in the text fields. (3) When using the "Add" feature within a form (e.g., Goal - adding Objectives), you must click on the Save button before clicking on the Add button so that text entered is not lost. - Google Toolbar or Yahoo Toolbar Users: If you have added either of these to your browser, you may have problems seeing your draft reports or past reports in the pop-up window. For instructions on changing the Google toolbar setting, go to http://toolbar.google.com/popup_help.html. For instructions on changing the Yahoo toolbar setting, go to http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/toolbar/features/index.html.

- In the Tools menu on the left, click on the “Personal information” menu choice.
- On the next page, click on the “Change Password” option.
- Type your new password into the text boxes and then click on the Submit button on the right side of the screen.
- You will receive verification that the Blackboard system has recorded your request. (“Password successfully updated.”). Click on the OK button on the right side of the screen.
- To exit the MyUNL
website, click on the Logout button on the top center of your screen.
NOTE: The password change may take up to 24 hours to be effective.
Access Support
CIT will only support access rates of DSL/Cable
or better. During tests, all speeds of access equal to or greater than these
had good response times. It is recommended that you do NOT use dial-up to access
the eARFA system; response time will be too slow.
NOTE for Lotus Notes & IE users: When Microsoft Internet
Explorer is opened within the Lotus Notes environment, the Input and Save functions
within eARFA do NOT work correctly. To avoid this problem, please follow these
instructions to change the browser setting within Lotus Notes.
- In the Lotus Notes menu, go to File > Preferences > Location Preferences.
- In the Location: Office (Network) screen, click on the Internet Browser tab. The default setting is "Notes with Internet Explorer".
- Click on the down-arrow button next to this setting to open the "Select Keywords" dialog box.
- Select Microsoft Internet Explorer and click the OK button. Your setting should now match the setting shown in the figure to the right.
- Click on the Save & Close button to save the setting and return to your e-mail Inbox.
